Food and Nutrition
According to the World Health Organization, worldwide there are 155 million children who lack the nutrition for healthy growth, while 1.9 billion adults who are overweight due to malnutrition. Of the 17 goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, 12 goals are directly and indirectly linked to nutrition.
HHO joins the global efforts by Member States, the private sector, academia, and other non-government organizations in an effort to improve the food security and quality of the diet.
In the regard, we run food and nutrition themed forums, identify and promote agricultural good products and nutrients, and organize international food culture events that are aimed to heighten people’s awareness of the value of nutrition, enhance international understanding and friendship, and meanwhile to appreciate the diversity of food cultures of the world.
