People’s health is affected by a multitude of factors, yet recent sciences attest that positivity plays a key role in the state of affairs of health and well-being.

On July 20, 2017, “Time” online declared to the world “It’s Official: Happiness Really Can Improve Health”, drawing on a review published in Applied Psychology: Health and Well-Being. With Positivity, people may see and move towards new possibilities, may bounce back and renew from setbacks, may connect and consolidate with others, and ultimately may become stronger and better selves.

At the United Nations, the General Assembly in its resolution 66/281 of July 12, 2012 declared March 20 as the International Day of Happiness, recognizing the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal aspirations in the lives of people around the world and their importance in public policy agenda. Worldwide, the Sustainable Development Solutions Network has since 2012 been publishing the World Happiness Report, surveying and analyzing the state of the global happiness in more than 150 countries.

In those contexts, HHO explores the linkages between positivity, happiness, health, and well-being, and creates programs of interventions to advance our mission and objectives.
